How does it work?

Open FretMind and allow microphone access. Everything is processed locally in your browser via the Web Audio API — your audio never leaves your device and nothing is sent to a server. Works with any microphone or audio interface.

Play a note on your guitar, bass, ukulele, or any pitched instrument. FretMind uses real-time pitch detection (±20 cents tolerance) to identify the note instantly, even in natural playing conditions.

See the detected note, tuning accuracy, and your score. Everything stays local in your browser — no data is sent, no account required for basic use. Over sessions, the fretboard heatmap shows which notes you miss most so you can target your weak spots.
